Krysten teaches students of all levels at her private studio in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She specializes in classical pedal and lever harp instruction for ages 6-18 and strives to share her love of music in a warm and supportive environment. Her students have the opportunity to participate in regular recitals and harp ensemble courses.

 

Krysten earned a Music-in-Education certificate as part of her graduate studies at New England Conservatory and has served as the harp coach for the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras since 2012. Committed to mentoring young musicians, she has served on the Board of Directors of the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra Foundation.

 

Krysten's students have:

- Performed on National Public Radio's From the Top.

- Won the principal harp position with the National Youth Orchestra (2024).

- Won spots in Massachusetts Music Educators Association's District and All-State Orchestras.

- Been named prizewinners in multiple competitions, including the New England Philharmonic Concerto Competition (first prize, 2022), the Boston Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition (third prize, 2023), the Osaka International Music Competition (espoir prize, 2023), the American Harp Society's National Competition (first prize, Junior Division, 2019) and the Young Artist's Harp Competition (second prize, Preparatory Division, 2018).

- Been accepted to top colleges, including Columbia University, Dartmouth College, and Wellesley College.
